Are childhood abilities a predictor of how we choose a vocation or our interests?  Or is it an indicator of what we would be happiest doing if monetary issues were taken out of the equation?  Does nostalgia cloud it, or does environmental and genetic factors outweigh those effects for the general populace?  While there appears to be correlation for some people, while I had the precocious ability of reading by 2-3 years and memorizing books, the areas where i feel passion don't seem to be intertwined.  The majority of activities I attempted as a child I can still do at a basic level however it lacks much passion and devotion.  Other than the pure and simplistic euphoria from making m own solutions and agents as well as cooking, there is little of childhood activities that I still pursue.  The interest is still there such as animals and nature, however goals are continuously being refined.

When push comes to shove and we are asked to give something such as the clothing off our backs, what makes it easier for some than others to do so.  Is it perhaps how embedded materialism is within our culture along with a selfish.  Even when we have more than enough it is easier to buy something for someone in need versus giving someone something we are currently wearing.  There's a certain degree of possessiveness entwined with it.  While I personally wish I could say that the times when I walk with homeless people I gave them my jacket on cold days.  However there is always one excuse or another such as it won't fit, this jacket isn't for the "correct sex" and so on.  While I did spend the last of my money at the time to buy them a hot meal and converse I felt impulsed to buy them something rather than give off my own back.

  • Contentedness

In the fastpaced motion of Western culture, the quest for finding peace is obvious through the countless number of meditation and relaxation classes.  What special qualities about peace are so desirable.  Living in a culture where nothing is never enough and something bigger and better is just around the corner, when is enough enough.

  • recognition

Since I'm curious about the world, what certain qualities about people make us be able to recognize them when we see them and why do. I am aware of the encoding process for memory, but what exactly dictates why some nitty gritty details are seared forever while others just pass by.
